I say go for the HDc3. If you have the power, the HDc3 should get louder than the BL. If you get the HDc3 with the flatwound aluminum coils, it should take 2kw and get loud as piss. dj says they are a step up from the last HD3's. If that is true, and I don't think he would update to a lesser sub, then these should be awesome awesome subs.

The only thing I don't like too much about the new HDc3 is the chinese 12 spoke basket. Just not as much excursion capability as it could be due to the mechanical constraints. But he's still claiming a mechanical capability of 3"p2p. And it would take a lot of power to do that, or playing way below tuning.
